ACKnowledgements and Collaborators

This page includes some of the people that have supported and contributed to me and my work.

It is always important to acknowledge the help people provide both small and large. Invertebrate medicine is a huge part of my life and one of my life’s passions. This being said, I owe alot of thanks to many many people.

Steve and Carol Trim (Venomtech Ltd. and Canterbury Church University)

Steve of Venomtech Ltd. and Carol of Canterbury Church University have both been really helpful for my work with invertebrate medicine. Steve is a collaborator with my research into tarantula heamolymph biochemistry as well as into their pain and treatment options.

Greg Dickens

Alot of the nice professional photos on this site have been provided by Greg Dickens (another invertebrate obsessed vet!).

Greg is an active science communicator and wonderful photographer. Please support his work because he really does these little creatures justice (in a way that I really cannot!).

The British Tarantula Society - particularly Ray Gabriel, Mark Pennell, Peter Kirk (and many many others)

I adore tarantulas and love working with them clinically. The community around the BTS has always been supportive of my work and I know that I wouldn’t have achieved much without that support and knowledge base. I’ve spoken at the BTS lectures several times and have regularly ran a stall at the BTS exhibition.

I really recommend the BTS for those that want to improve their knowledge of theraphosid species.

The Veterinary Invertebrate Society

I’ve been an active member of the veterinary invertebrate society for many years. I owe a great deal of thanks to many fellow members, including John and Margaret Cooper, Sarah Pellet, Emily Draper, David McHale and others.
