Invertebrate Consultation ANd TEleMEdicine

Invertebrate Consultation

Invertivet aims to provide veterinary services to invertebrate owners and keepers to improve and maintain good welfare of invertebrate species.

Benjamin can provide consultations privately. This will need to be arranged on a case by case basis. When concerning large collections, either zoological or private, a visit is often required in order to view the entire context of the problem concerned. Costs and practicalities will be discussed at time of initial contact.

Private consultations of one animal only will normally incur a charge of £40 (including an anaesthesia [if needed] to conduct a clinical exam under stereomicroscopy).

INVERTEBRATE TELEMEDICINE (FOR VETS)

Benjamin will always be happy to give a 2nd opinion or discuss an invertebrate case with a veterinarian. Brief initial conversations will typically not be charged as Benjamin feels it is important to provide good emergency case management for any case (regardless of species). Please contact him via the contact form below in such cases.

Invertebrates are challenging so Benjamin welcomes the opportunity to help other vets with providing care for these species.

Detailed and long case discussions may incur a telemedicine charge of £30 + VAT. This charge is specifically for vets only.

To request telemedicine please complete the form below

Please describe the clinical issue, including any history, clinical exam, performed diagnostics and treatment.

Where to find an invertebrate Vet!

Benjamin is not the only vet that can do invertebrates. Please contact the Veterinary invertebrate Society if you want to find a vet more local to you that can provide care for your invertebrate.

Benjamin will always be happy to provide telemedicine support to vets that may want additional support with invertebrate patients. Most clients are not in easy commutable distance to Benjamin so sometimes telemedicine support to another vet can ensure that an unwell invertebrate can get the best care as promptly as possible.
